Training Programme
In March 2019, Illyrius Motorsport made its official debut, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Albania's motorsport history.
With a vision rooted in passion, innovation, and a commitment to excellence, the team took its first monumental step by organizing a foundational training session in motorsport basics. This event was attended by approximately 30 enthusiastic individuals, each eager to immerse themselves in the world of racing and to learn the essential skills required for the sport.
The training was designed with a forward-thinking approach: it was not just about imparting technical knowledge, but also about laying the groundwork for developing the next generation of stewards who would ensure the integrity and safety of future motorsport events. Recognizing the need for a strong and knowledgeable support system in the fast-paced world of racing, Illyrius Motorsport partnered with the Albanian Karting Association, utilizing the excellent facilities at Kartodrom Tirana. This collaboration not only provided participants with top-notch training resources but also reinforced the commitment of the broader Albanian motorsport community to nurture emerging talent and leadership.
This inaugural training session in 2019 was much more than a one-off event—it symbolized the beginning of a great dream. It set in motion a journey of continuous learning, improvement, and community building that still resonates today. The foundations laid during this period have been instrumental in shaping the ethos of Illyrius Motorsport, a team that remains dedicated to fostering talent and advancing the standards of motorsport within the country.
Building on this early momentum, in March 2022, the team further expanded its training initiatives by organizing a comprehensive safety training focused on race protocols and regulations. This session was a significant milestone, as it brought together a large number of passionate motorsport enthusiasts and professionals. The safety training was meticulously designed to align with the strict guidelines of the FIA (International Automobile Federation), ensuring that all participants were well-versed in the best practices for organizing and managing safe racing events.
The March 2022 training served as both a refresher and an advanced workshop, providing attendees with updated insights into safety measures, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance. This initiative underscored Illyrius Motorsport’s ongoing commitment to excellence and to creating an environment where competitive racing could thrive without compromising on safety. The positive response and high level of engagement from the participants further highlighted the collective desire to elevate the standards of motorsport safety and organization in Albania.
